There is a new dispute on crypto Twitter. Once again, it is all about the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto. While Craig Wright sends lawsuits, Binance enlists his cryptocurrency. Who is right in this argument?
The whole story started with Craig S. Wright, a person responsible for the hard fork of Bitcoin Cash (BCH) in November 2018. After the fork, he named one of two new coins Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV).
You’ve been served
Wright is a self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto. At least, he believes it is the truth. Now, he hunts everybody who claims otherwise.
There was an anonymous account on Twitter called Hodlonaut. A person behind that nickname was responsible among others for ‘#LNTrustChain’ action. A few days ago, his account disappeared. According to rumor, Hodlonaut deleted his profile due to a possible lawsuit against him from Craig Steven Wright (CSW) and his friend Calvin Ayre (CA). These two men claim that CSW is the real Nakamoto. They also suggest that BSV is the ‘original Satoshi vision’.
CSW and CA set a 70 BSV bounty (roughly $5,000) for the real identity of Hodlonaut.
It took only a moment until the crypto community gathered and started a new action. Bitcoin Magazine posted this:
A new hashtag has been trending all over the Internet.
Binance has enough of it
Soon, many famous people from the crypto world joined the action. Among them was Changpeng Zhao, founder and CEO of Binance. He published a tweet, which started a new movement.
This post started an entirely new action called #DelistBSV. Crypto users propose to every exchange which listed BSV to delist it simultaneously on May 1 in a sign of solidarity.
A few other users shared their letters received from Wright and Ayre, in which they threatened to ‘bring proceedings against’ those who won’t meet their requirements.
There were a lot of pieces of evidence in the past that Craig Wright isn’t the real Satoshi Nakamoto. We still don’t know how that story will develop, but we will keep you updated if anything new happens.
